Driven by personal experiences, Helen's journey began when she encountered challenges accessing the law. Her response was transformative—she delved into the intricate realms of the law, starting as a paralegal, progressing to becoming an LDA, and now excelling as a tax preparer.
As a lifelong California Association of Legal Document Assistants (CALDA) member, Helen is deeply involved in advocating for accessible legal services. Her extensive involvement in leadership roles within organizations like CALDA and her contributions to various legal forums demonstrate her dedication to this cause.
Helen's commitment extends beyond her professional endeavors. A passionate educator and frequent speaker, she shares her skills on crucial legal topics such as Probate, Guardianship, Conservatorship, Divorce, and Adoption at conferences, law offices, and financial planning workshops. Her aim is to empower individuals to represent themselves, steering them away from legal conflicts.
Moreover, Helen actively participates in legal access panels supported by the State Bar of California, advocating for "open access" and striving to bridge the gap in legal services.
